Pray this Lazaroo in bursting-with-joy gratitude:

“The grace…”
(Philemon 1:25)

Your grace, Jesus!

What You did for us on the cross –

dying for sins You didn’t, wouldn’t, couldn’t commit.

The guiltiest among us freely pardoned –

going scot-free!

The exact opposite of justice.
Absolutely nothing fair about it.

G.R.A.C.E.: “God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense!”

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

I would never complain that I’m not getting what I deserve.

I don’t want what I deserve!

What I want is Your Total, Ineradicable, Undeserved, Unmerited

Matchless Grace!

Pray this Lazaroo with no-holds-barred surrender:

“Oh, that I might have my request…that God would be willing to…cut off my life! Then I would still have this consolation—my joy in unrelenting pain—that I had not denied the words of the Holy One.”
(Job 6:8-10)

Job was afraid he’d dishonor You, Jesus

So he was saying:

“Just kill me now!”

But that wasn’t Your plan, was it?

You put Job through this to prove something to Satan
and teach Job a thing or two!

Message received and recorded.

Pray this Lazaroo with excuseless humility:

“…the older women…can train the younger women…to be subject to their husbands…”
(Titus 2:3-5)

In this day and age

that’s going to take a heap of training, Jesus.

Nobody wants to be subject to anybody.

Our sinful human nature demands:

“Do what you want to do
when and how you want to do it!”

But let me reply with this:

I submit myself totally, wholeheartedly, unreservedly to You, Father!

So whatever You ask me to do

my answer is an immediate, resounding

“YES!”

Pray this Lazaroo with eyes-opened awareness:

“When Haman saw that Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor, he was enraged. Yet having learned who Mordecai’s people were, he scorned the idea of killing only Mordecai. Instead, Haman looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai’s people, the Jews, throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes.”
(Esther 3:5-6)

We’d like to think, “Surely people that evil don’t exist!” Jesus.

But sadly, yes, they do.

O God!

I look to You as my only – and 100% effective –

Supernatural Defense.

Pray this Lazaroo with renewed resolve:

“Warn them before God against quarreling about words…”
(2 Timothy 2:14)

Why do we do that, Jesus?

Why do we fight and argue and quarrel at all?

Afterwards, it doesn’t make any of us feel good.

It has the potential to damage relationships.

Besides, when I quarrel with another person about some key word in the Bible

all I do is give the enemy of my soul

something else to dissuade the lost

from putting their trust in You.

Pray this Lazaroo with every fiber of your being:

“Next to him Ezer the son of Jeshua, the official of Mizpah, repaired another section in front of the ascent of the armory at the Angle. After him Baruch the son of Zabbai zealously repaired another section, from the Angle to the doorway of the house of Eliashib the high priest.”
(Nehemiah 3:19-20)

This was a crucial section of the wall, Jesus –

near the armory and home of the high priest.

May I be as zealous as Baruch

in repairing brokenness in Your Church!

Add this strategy to your toolbox, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“We alone will build it for the Lord, the God of Israel, as King Cyrus, the king of Persia, commanded us.”
(Ezra 4:3]

Their enemies didn’t get it, Jesus.

They couldn’t grasp
why Your people didn’t want their help to build the temple.

So the heads of Your families spoke their language –

answered them with a reason they could understand.

When I experience opposition from Your enemies

help me answer them with words supplied by You

that’ll stop them in their tracks.

Pray this Lazaroo with heartfelt gratitude:

“…the Lord of peace himself…”
(2 Thessalonians 2:16)

You Are That, Jesus:

My Peace!

You warned me that in this world I’d have trouble.

But then You comforted me with this promise:

“But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

I need not be surprised when trouble comes.

You warned me it would.

But the good news is:

Trouble doesn’t have the power to rob me of Your peace!

“This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”

Pray this Lazaroo in triumphant gratitude:

“He made interwoven chains and put them on top of the pillars. He also made a hundred pomegranates and attached them to the chains. He erected the pillars in the front of the temple, one to the south and one to the north. The one to the south he named Jakin and the one to the north Boaz.”
(2 Chronicles 3:16-17)

Yes, Jesus!

Jakin: “He establishes.”
Boaz: “In Him is strength.”

Everything that lasts has been established by You.

In You…is my strength!
