Pray this Lazaroo in steadfast love:

“Jesus answered him, ‘It is also written: ”‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.”’”
(Matthew 4:7)

You were battling Satan at the beginning of Your public ministry, Jesus.

He tried to get You to jump off the temple
to prove You’re the Son of God.

You’ve proved that over and over again!

But not in that foolish way.

I have no right to demand anything from You.

You’ve already proved Yourself to me and the world

times beyond counting.

“But when the judge died, the people returned to ways even more corrupt than those of their fathers…”
(Judges 2:19)

It’s clear, Jesus.

Righteous leadership is essential!

Left to ourselves, we stray.

We don’t like to think of ourselves as sheep
but history proves it over and over again:

We need a shepherd.

You Are the Great Shepherd!

We are Your sheep, the precious people of Your flock.

But please, LORD:

Give us holy, pure, wise, faithful, Godly undershepherds.
