That’s what I’ve asked You to do, Jesus!

I don’t want anything but what You want.

By myself…

I don’t know enough
I don’t understand enough
I don’t love enough.

But You do!

You’ve saved my life.

Therefore I trust You with my life.

Did I say, “my” life?

No.

My life is Yours!
Forever and ever and ever.

Pray this Lazaroo in wisdom, self-control and total trust:

“…forfeiting your life.”
(Habakkuk 2:10)

That seems incomprehensible, Jesus!

Why would anyone forfeit his life?
Why would she throw away something so precious?

But people do it all the time. Why?

Because Your gracious gift of life can become soiled, feel ruined

by sin…pain…sickness…fear…hatred…loss.

And in the darkness that our emotions and Satan himself brings

people can lose hope
abandon perspective
think irrationally

act hastily…foolishly.

But You’re the Giver of life!

My life is not my own to take.

What a perfect picture of futility You’ve given me, Jesus.

Show me everywhere in my life I’m doing this.

Help me stop!

Did I say, “my” life?

God help me.

It’s not mine.
It’s Yours.

Forgetting that is what sets me off
on another wind-chasing waste of time.

Chasing after the wind is NOT going after something too big.

In Your power, there’s no such thing.

It’s failing to check with You first.
