Pray this Lazaroo in the holy fear of the LORD:

“…the Lord met Moses and was about to kill him. But Zipporah took a flint knife, cut off her son’s foreskin and touched Moses’ feet with it. ‘Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me,’ she said…referring to circumcision.”
(Exodus 4:24-26)

Had Moses refused to obey You because of his wife, Jesus?

Putting anyone or anything ahead of you is idolatry.
You weren’t about to send an idolater to Egypt to free your people!

Is there anything or anyone with whom I’m committing idolatry, Holy Spirit?

“I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her away because of all her adulteries. Yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear; she also went out and committed adultery. Because Israel’s immorality mattered so little to her, she defiled the land and committed adultery with stone and wood.”
(Jeremiah 3:8-9)

Spiritual adultery, Jesus –

Your people worshiping idols instead of You

betraying the covenant You made with them
as an adulterous violates her marriage vows.

May I never put anyone or anything ahead of You!

Feel God’s pain to the bone, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“During the reign of King Josiah, the Lord said to me, ‘Have you seen what faithless Israel has done? She has gone up on every high hill and under every spreading tree and has committed adultery there. I thought that after she had done all this she would return to me but she did not, and her unfaithful sister Judah saw it.”
(Jeremiah 3:6-7)

When we turn to other gods, Jesus –

anything or anyone we value ahead of You –

in Your eyes
it’s adultery

and Your eyes are the only eyes that matter.
