“…women are to be worthy of respect…”
(1 Timothy 3:11)

So are the men, Jesus.

We’re not merely to demand respect.
You expect us to earn it.

How?

By the way we speak
by the way we act.

by the way we live our lives wholeheartedly for You – 

staying in Your Word
praying through the day
loving and encouraging Your people

sharing Your Good News
with those who don’t know You

showing others the same mercy
we ourselves have received from You.

Your Word is that foundation, Jesus

not because it’s in writing
not because it’s the Bible
but because it’s You.

You Are The Word.

That’s
Solid.

But what means the world to me is knowing I belong to You!

You know me.
You chose me.
You saved me.
I’m Yours.

Not merely for my time on this earth
but through all eternity!

Fully open your heart, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart…”

What an awesome goal, Jesus!

That’s who I long to be to those around me:

an encouragement.

But it’s not merely saying a nice word or two, is it?

It’s encouraging people’s hearts

letting them know I truly care about them
being there for them when they’re down

telling them the truth they need to hear
in a way that gives them direction and hope.

Because that’s the kind of encouragement I need!

How many Godly people have gone before me, Jesus?

Not merely those I know…
what about those I’ve never met or heard of?

How many prayers did they pray for me –

not even knowing my name?

All they knew was they wanted those who would come after them

to love and follow You with their whole hearts
just as they themselves did.

Answer their prayers!
