Pray this Lazaroo with bottomless trust:

“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
(Acts 2:38-39)

It wasn’t just for them, Jesus.

It wasn’t just for the world ever after.

It was also for me!

because with all my heart

I believe!

Pray this Lazaroo with wholehearted adoration:

“As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.’”
(Matthew 3:16-17)

O Jesus!

If only one day

You will be able to look down from heaven on me

and say, “I am well pleased.”

Pray this Lazaroo with pure devotion:

“In those days John the Baptist came…People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.”
(Matthew 3:1, 4-5)

That amazing response was all You, Jesus!

John did his part, for sure.
He preached and baptized.

But You’re the one who brought the crowds.
You’re the one who caused them to confess and repent.

Every time that happens it’s You!

Only You.

Pray this Lazaroo with lavish love:

“…the cooing of doves is heard in our land.”
(Song of Songs 2:12)

How beautiful, Jesus…

the soothing, healing, peaceful song of the dove

a sign that winter had passed

that spring had come.

During Jesus’ baptism

You descended on Him like a dove, Holy Spirit

signifying that the long winter of our slavery to sin had passed

that the Savior of the world had come
bringing the warming springtime of love, hope and forgiveness

to my weary, frostbitten soul.
