Pray this Lazaroo with lavish love:

“The LORD…appeared to me…”
(Exodus 3:16)

I’d give anything for You to appear to me, Jesus.

But it’s okay if You don’t.
I know I’m not worthy.

It’s more than that, though, isn’t it?

Most people couldn’t handle it.

Besides – other than the absolute thrill –

what would be the point?

In the Bible I already have Your Word

portions of which I’m still struggling to obey.

On top of which…

sooner than I imagine…

I’ll see You in heaven.

Pray this Lazaroo with no excuses obedience:

“But you have insulted the poor.”
(James 2:6)

Not a good idea, is it, Jesus?

If I insult the poor
I’ve insulted You, their Maker.

It’s easy for me to judge – without truly knowing – how a person became poor

then conclude they’re unworthy of my help.

But You didn’t command me to be kind

only to those who don’t deserve their poverty.

I’m to recognize that if You’ve put something in my hand

I’d better be willing to share it.
