Heed the warning, as you pray this Lazaroo:

Yeah, Jesus.

I want to be certain that I have all the facts
before I accuse someone of wrongdoing.

If all I have is hearsay and circumstantial evidence
I’d better keep my mouth shut.

Pray this Lazaroo with an open, teachable heart:

“A woman should learn in quietness and full submission.”
(1 Timothy 2:11)

I couldn’t agree more, Jesus.

That’s how a man should learn Your Word too.

I’m sure You don’t mean it’s okay for men to learn in noisy rebellion!

Nobody can learn like that.

Clearly, Paul was referring to disruptive behavior in these congregations.

The only way to truly learn Your Word

is for me to keep my mouth shut
while I listen closely

and totally surrender my will
to Yours.

Pray this Lazaroo with burning zeal:

“…spreading the news.”
(Mark 1:45)

There are times I need to keep my mouth shut, Jesus.

Specifically, when You tell me to!

You told this man You cured of leprosy to tell no one –

knowing that if He did, the religious leaders would seek Your death.

But you place no such restriction on us today.

Just the opposite!

You’ve told us to go into the whole world
and preach Your good news.

Which means:

You’ve issued that command
to me.
