Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“I want you to know how hard I am contending for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me personally.”
(Colossians 2:1)

Paul’s talking to me, Jesus

‘cause I’ve not met him personally.

But I like this about him:

He wanted me to know how hard he was contending for me
even though he didn’t know me personally.

He’s setting a good example, isn’t he?

My first thought is

You’re not talking to me, Jesus.

If You had started out with, “Therefore, dirty rotten sinners…”

I’d have perked right up:
“Hey! A personal message from God!”

But then I remember:

We’re all dirty rotten sinners.
Every last one of us.

So unless You’re talking to Your imaginary friends

then by Your grace alone –
because of my sin debt You eradicated on the cross

You’re talking to me.
