“…the Lord your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over…He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the Lord is powerful and so that you might always fear the Lord your God.
(Joshua 4:23-24)

You did this once through Moses, Jesus

when they crossed through the Red Sea.

You did it again for Joshua

sending Your people through the River Jordan.

Pray this Lazaroo with Holy Spirit confidence:

“The Lord, the God of Israel, commands you: ‘Go, take with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead them up to Mount Tabor. I will lead Sisera, the commander of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his troops to the Kishon River and give him into your hands.’”
(Judges 4:6-7)

If it had been anyone else, Jesus

Barak might have responded:

“Yeah, right.”

But this was the prophet Deborah, Your chosen leader of Israel!

She spoke Your words, not her own.

It’s hard to see You like this, Jesus

but absolutely essential.

You’re giving me a clear picture of the horror of sin.

May I hate and reject the sin in my life
as much as You do.
