What would I do without You?

You’re my closest Friend, encouraging me, giving me hope.

When I’ve sinned

You prompt me to confess and repent.

But there is coming a day when You will lift my body –

I’ve been let down before, Jesus.

Doesn’t feel good.

Unless, as in this case…

You’ve done it to save my life.

Rahab let these two men down from her window

so they could escape certain death.

You delight in doing the unexpected

for my good
because I love You
because You first loved me.

Please remind me that every time you allow someone to let me down

in reality
You’re lifting me up.
