Pray this Lazaroo in wisdom, self-control and total trust:

“…forfeiting your life.”
(Habakkuk 2:10)

That seems incomprehensible, Jesus!

Why would anyone forfeit his life?
Why would she throw away something so precious?

But people do it all the time. Why?

Because Your gracious gift of life can become soiled, feel ruined

by sin…pain…sickness…fear…hatred…loss.

And in the darkness that our emotions and Satan himself brings

people can lose hope
abandon perspective
think irrationally

act hastily…foolishly.

But You’re the Giver of life!

My life is not my own to take.

It’s pretty easy for human beings to kill themselves, Jesus

if that’s what they really want to do.

But our lives are not our own, are they?

You’re the Life-Giver…
and the Life-Taker.

Only You know when it’s best for me to check in…

and check out.

I’m here for a season to do Your will.

Only when my work is done
will I see Your Face.
