Pray this Lazaroo in steadfast faith:

“They are lazy; that is why they are crying out, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to our God.’ Make the work harder for the people so that they keep working and pay no attention to lies.”
(Exodus 5:8-9)

But they weren’t lazy, Jesus!

They were obeying You!

May I always remember:

Even when I’m doing exactly what You desire
this can happen to me.

When others judge me harshly

should I quit obeying You?

No!
Never.

Take it to heart! as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Gaza will be abandoned and Ashkelon left in ruins. At midday Ashdod will be emptied and Ekron uprooted.”
(Zephaniah 2:4)

Wow, Jesus:

“Abandoned. Left in ruins.
Emptied. Uprooted.”

I wouldn’t want any of those to happen to me

let alone all of them!

But this is exactly what will happen on the day of Your wrath

to the cities of this –

or any country –

that repeatedly defies You.

O God!

Send a revival to my nation!

To the world!

Pray this Lazaroo in overwhelmed gratitude:

“…the LORD Almighty has sent me to you.”

When great things happen to me, Jesus

do I realize You’re the one I should thank?

True, You work through events, weather, people – even animals!

So it’s easy to forget that my blessings come through them

not from them.

Certainly, when people deliberately choose to be good to me

You bless them richly.

But with a grateful heart may I never forget:

It’s You.
