Pray this Lazaroo with deep reverence:

“Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.”
(2 John 1:8)

You deserve my obedience Jesus.

If I serve You perfectly in every way
You owe me nothing.

But You love me so much that You long to reward me anyway!

if only I don’t blow it by disobeying You.

You don’t owe me any incentive whatsoever to stay true to You

but that’s exactly what You just gave me.

Pray this Lazaroo with unwavering dedication:

“Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for…”
(2 John 1:8)

I tend to think that once I have it, Jesus

it’s mine.

But You’re reminding me that I may have to work as hard to keep it

as I did to attain it.

Maybe harder – because now, I’m a target.
Satan wants to steal what You’ve provided.

But so long as I keep my eyes fixed on You

following You every step of the way

You’ll ensure that Satan comes up

empty-handed.

Pray this Lazaroo with unrestrained allegiance:

“Watch out…”
(2 John 1:8)

Warnings like these don’t exactly relax me, Jesus.

I wish I didn’t have to watch out.
I wish You’d do all my watching out for me.

And You would
if that’s what was best.

Actually, I know You do watch out for me, 24/7.

Only in heaven will I discover
what all You’ve protected me from.

But clearly, there’s real benefit in me keeping my eyes peeled, too.

So since You want me to
I will.

Be on your guard! as you pray this Lazaroo:

“I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.”
(2 John 1:7)

This is powerful insight into what’s going on, Jesus!

So many of us are keeping our eyes peeled for the antichrist
when we should be watching out for the antichrists.

Same spirit.
Same evil.

Same deception:

The attempt to dissuade us from faith in You.

NEVER!

Pray this Lazaroo with Holy Spirit caution:

“They are full of…deceit…”
(Romans 1:29)

A deceiver is a scary person, Jesus.

You’re not just talking about someone who does it occasionally, are You?

A person who is full of deceit
lives by deceit.

Everything they say is meant to deceive
even when there’s no discernible reason to do it.

I can spot some deceivers a mile away, Holy Spirit.

but other deceivers are professionals.

I won’t ever see them coming

unless You give me a heads up.
