Mean it all the way to the marrow of your bones, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…out of our intense longing we made every effort to see you.”
(1 Thessalonians 2:17)

Paul really wanted this, Jesus

and You didn’t give it to him!

Through Paul You gave us much of the New Testament!

Through Him You healed the sick and raised the dead!

But when he passionately desired something outside of Your will

You said no.

Just because he thought it was best didn’t mean it was.

So, please, LORD:

Do the same for me.

Pray this Lazaroo with God-inspired anticipation:

First days are momentous, Jesus!

They’re full of excitement, promise, hope, new beginnings.

Sometimes.

Of course, I can also dread a first day.

It may represent the unknown.
It may remind me that this is only one step in a very long journey.

But ultimately, I have to keep undertaking first days, don’t I?

If I don’t begin, I’ll never finish.

But I beg You:

Don’t let me begin anything outside of Your will!
