Pray this Lazaroo with determination:

“Israel’s arrogance testifies against them; the Israelites, even Ephraim, stumble in their sin; Judah also stumbles with them. When they go with their flocks and herds to seek the Lord, they will not find him; he has withdrawn himself from them. They are unfaithful to the Lord; they give birth to illegitimate children.”
(Hosea 5:5-7)

When we keep sinning – especially when we know better, Jesus –

You withdraw from us.

I can’t afford that, LORD!
I need You too desperately.

Please help me stay faithful to You.

Pray this Lazaroo in deepened understanding:

“…the overseer is to be above reproach…”
(1 Timothy 3:2)

You’ve set the overseer bar awfully high, Jesus

and for good reason.

If the overseer stumbles or falls, it’s a domino effect:

A whole lot of people can get hurt.

That’s why Satan relentlessly and ferociously attacks the overseer –

along with their family, friends and ministries, isn’t it?

To be above reproach
doesn’t mean to be above attack.

During the time You walked this earth

constant attack

is exactly what Satan did to You.

Pray this Lazaroo in total honesty:

“Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.”
(1 John 2:10)

I must not love all my brothers and sisters, Jesus

because I sure have done my share of stumbling.

The thing is, I do love my brothers and sisters

officially.

But it’s a lot harder to love some of them

actually.

Maybe it would help if I dared to remember how hard it is

to actually
love me.
