Pray this Lazaroo in warm-hearted gratitude:

“…all their glory is like the flowers of the field…”
(1 Peter 1:24)

I know field flowers don’t last long, Jesus

but as they raise their heads under Your bright sun
gently nodding under a passing breeze

they sure are beautiful.

So I’m grateful.

Whatever glory I gain on this earth –

though transitory –

is nevertheless a gift from You.

I don’t deserve it
but I appreciate it.

It’s a sweetener in the sometimes bitter tea of life

on this sin-cursed earth.

Good advice, Jesus –

because everything I have comes from You.

Everything I’ve accomplished has been made possible by You:

You’re the one who breathed in me the breath of life.
Every skill, talent and ability I possess is a gift from You.

When an opportunity arises, You’re the one who creates it.

When the time is right to seize it
You, Holy Spirit, are the one who gives me the nudge.
