When I’m in trouble, Jesus

why do I ever turn
to anyone, anywhere or anything than You?

All of my so-called “deliverers” will fail.

You alone have the power to rescue me!

Thank You, Jesus, for watching over my journey through my own vast wilderness.

Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo:

I’ve been on a few of those roundabout journeys, Jesus!

At least, that’s what they felt like at the time:

a total waste.

But is that what they were?

No. Even when I didn’t know what I was doing

You did.

You’ve made me a promise:

That if I will seek You with my whole heart
and faithfully follow You all the way

You will guide my steps.
