Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body.”
(2 Corinthians 4:10-11)

That explains a lot, Jesus!

Not the explanation I was hoping for
but the one I fully embrace

confident that You know better than I do.

Seek Him now, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“I will be like a lion to Ephraim, like a great lion to Judah. I will tear them to pieces and go away; I will carry them off, with no one to rescue them. Then I will return to my lair until they have borne their guilt and seek my faceā€”in their misery they will earnestly seek me.”
(Hosea 5:14-15)

I don’t want it to come to that, Jesus.

Let me own up to my guilt now.

May not misery, but love!

draw me into Your very heart.

Pray this Lazaroo with sold-out surrender:

“Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting…Assign to each man the specific things he is to carry.”
(Numbers 4:30, 32)

They had to carry the frames of the tabernacle, Jesus –

along with its crossbars, posts and bases.

They had to carry the posts of the surrounding courtyard

with their bases, tent pegs, ropes, all their equipment
and everything related to their use.

Show me, LORD

what You’ve assigned to me.

Pray this Lazaroo with bottomless trust:

“Aaron and his sons are to go into the sanctuary and assign to each man his work and what he is to carry. But the Kohathites must not go in to look at the holy things, even for a moment, or they will die.”
(Numbers 4:19-20)

There are some things that are off-limits for me, too, Jesus.

Please.
Show me what they are.

May I never desire

what You haven’t given me.

You’ve already given me

far more than I deserve!
