Pray this Lazaroo with unending allegiance:

“…whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.”
(2 John 1:9)

That’s the key, isn’t it, Jesus?

I’ve got to continue what I started.

Correction.

I’ve got to continue what You started in me!

And of course, if it was indeed You who started it

I will continue.

It’s when people have a form of godliness

but deny Who You really Are
that they don’t continue.

The proof today that I’m on my way to heaven through faith in You?

I’m still here.

Pray this Lazaroo in steadfast faith:

“To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.”
(Romans 2:7-8)

Persistence is the key, isn’t it, Jesus?

An occasional good or bad deed doesn’t tell the whole story.

What I do or don’t do doesn’t save me.

But my behavior over time reveals

whether or not I’m saved.

Pray this Lazaroo with pure devotion:

“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.”
(Proverbs 3:9-10)

The key is that old-fashioned word, “firstfruits,” isn’t it, Jesus?

The first tomatoes that ripen
the first grapes that reach full color
the first figs to arrive at succulent readiness

Those are the hardest to part with…

and the most meaningful of all
to devote to You.
