Pray this Lazaroo in utter trust:

“…we wanted to come to you…”
(1 Thessalonians 2:18)

I don’t always get what I want, Jesus.

It’s kind of comforting to note:

Neither did Paul!

Maybe I should rephrase that:

“I don’t always get what I think I want.”

You’ve let me have my way enough times to prove to me:

Sometimes what looks good from a distance

isn’t at all good up close.

I don’t need any more proof, Father.

Give me only what You know is best!

Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…allotted ten towns…”
(1 Chronicles 6:61)

Why were Kohath’s descendants allotted those ten towns, Jesus?

Because that’s how many they needed.

That perfectly explains why You’ve allotted all my possessions to me.

I sometimes ask for more
and sometimes You give it.

But when You don’t give me more

it’s because I don’t need it.

In fact, sometimes You give me more

to let me discover for myself
that sometimes what I think I want

is too much.
