Pray this Lazaroo with renewed determination:

“Jonah obeyed the word of the LORD and went to Ninevah.”
(Jonah 3:3)

But when did he do that, Jesus?

It wasn’t when You told him to go the first time.
It was only after he ran from You

got swallowed by the fish You sent for him
and got vomited out on shore.

So much for my questions about why I have to go through my own traumatic situations.

Whatever it takes!

Your Father sent that angel to Joseph, Jesus

to let him know the coast was clear to take You back.

Of course, Your Heavenly Father is also

the one who cleared the coast!

The murderous King Herod

was taken out.

I serve the Almighty God who can not only let me know when it’s safe to move

but do whatever it takes
to clear the path.

That’s bad news for people in drought, Jesus…

but wonderful news for those around the world
who experience a torrential rainy season.

You use both in my life, don’t You?

Days of heavy, unrelenting rain that cause me to cry out to You
…which help me grow

Parched, thirsty, dry seasons that cause me to cry out to You
…which help me grow.

Whatever it takes

to help me grow.
