Pray this Lazaroo in loving, eternal gratitude:

“…pay with his life for this…”
(1 Kings 2:23)

That’s what Adonijah had to do, Jesus

and that’s what was required of me.

I’ve sinned against You.

Not once or twice, but repeatedly.

My life!

That’s the pronounced sentence
for willfully defying Your loving commands.

I was imprisoned on death row

until You stepped into my cell
and took my place.

You let them kill You instead of me

so that I
utterly guilty
without excuse

could go free.
