Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“…astrologers came forward and…said to King Nebuchadnezzar, ‘…Your Majesty has issued a decree that…whoever does not fall down and worship will be thrown into a blazing furnace. But there are some Jews …who…neither serve your gods nor worship the image of gold you have set up.’”
(Daniel 3:8-12)

These conniving enemies of Yours thought they had it all figured out, Jesus.

But they were wrong!

You were about to turn their schemes back on them.

I’d sincerely appreciate it if You’d do the same

to all my unrepentant enemies.

Pray this Lazaroo with undisguised yearning:

“I asked the angel who talked with me, ‘What are these, my lord?’ He answered, ‘Do you not know what these are?’ ‘No, my lord,’ I replied.”
(Zechariah 4:4-5)

There are a lot of things I don’t understand, Jesus!

That doesn’t mean I don’t trust You.

I do.

I also acknowledge there are some things

I won’t have the capacity to grasp
until I get to heaven.

Even so…

if You could help me understand a little better

I sure would appreciate it.

Pray this Lazaroo with unshakable belief:

“The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: ‘Take a census of the Kohathite branch of the Levites by their clans and families. Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting.’”
(Numbers 4:1-3)

Did you not know how many Levites there were, Jesus?

Of course You did.
You told them to count so they would know.

That happens a lot, doesn’t it?

Thanks.
I appreciate it!

Pray this Lazaroo in warm-hearted gratitude:

“…all their glory is like the flowers of the field…”
(1 Peter 1:24)

I know field flowers don’t last long, Jesus

but as they raise their heads under Your bright sun
gently nodding under a passing breeze

they sure are beautiful.

So I’m grateful.

Whatever glory I gain on this earth –

though transitory –

is nevertheless a gift from You.

I don’t deserve it
but I appreciate it.

It’s a sweetener in the sometimes bitter tea of life

on this sin-cursed earth.
