So much of Your Word, Jesus

I cannot understand on my own.

Teach me, Holy Spirit!

I long to see through Your eyes

Pray this Lazaroo in trusting confidence:

“This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘These people say, “The time has not yet come to rebuild the Lord’s house.”’”
(Haggai 1:2)

That doesn’t sound like discernment, Jesus.

It sounds like laziness.

May I never put off doing Your will because it requires a lot of work!

And by the same token:

May I never put off doing Your will
because I realize my very best work won’t be enough!

May I always trust that Your All-Powerful Hand

will be able to accomplish what I cannot!

Sell out totally to God as you pray this Lazaroo:

“‘Whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.’ Therefore, as soon as they heard the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp and all kinds of music, all the nations and peoples of every language fell down and worshiped the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.”
(Daniel 3:6-7)

That was a no-brainer for everyone, Jesus.

Well…almost everyone.

There were a handful of Your people
who knew better.

May I always be numbered among that handful!

Pray this Lazaroo with total transparency:

“So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.”
(Genesis 3:23-24)

It doesn’t sound like we’re getting back in there, Jesus.

Certainly not here on this earth.

But there’s a better place than the Garden of Eden, isn’t there?

Heaven!

And for all who put their faith and trust in You

Angels won’t keep us out.
They’ll usher us in.
