Pray this Lazaroo with discerning wisdom:

“I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you.”
(1 John 2:26-27)

It would be so easy to take this out of context, Jesus!

True, Your Holy Spirit is my teacher.

But John is warning them not to listen
to those trying to lead them astray.

The gift of teaching Your Word accurately

is still in effect today

and is needed more than ever!

Pray this Lazaroo with wholehearted dedication:

It’s hard to believe there are people like that, Jesus!

I don’t get it.

Why would anyone want to lead me astray?

Oh.

They’re being influenced by Satan, aren’t they?

He’s at war with You.
He hates that I belong to You.

So he’s doing everything in his power
to turn me toward him and away from You.

But he’s wasting his time.

Pray this Lazaroo all the way to the marrow of your bones:

“…God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: ‘The Lord knows those who are his…’”
(2 Timothy 2:19)

Your Word is that foundation, Jesus

not because it’s in writing
not because it’s the Bible
but because it’s You.

You Are The Word.

That’s
Solid.

But what means the world to me is knowing I belong to You!

You know me.
You chose me.
You saved me.
I’m Yours.

Not merely for my time on this earth
but through all eternity!

You’re right:

That seals it!

I’m so glad John did, Jesus!

When he passed along Your words in writing

he couldn’t have imagined
how many billions of people would read them

unless You told him! 😉

It isn’t likely that billions of people will read what I write, Jesus

after all, I’m not anything close to Your beloved John.

But please:

make everything I say or write
result in praise, glory, gratitude and honor to You!
