Get a grip! as you pray this Lazaroo:

“All night long on my bed I looked for the one my heart loves…”
(Song of Songs 3:1)

A bed may not be the best place to conduct a thorough search, Jesus. 😉

Perhaps she didn’t want to get out of bed.

Where am I snuggling down in a warm bed of sleepy comfort –

instead of diligently searching to achieve
those things You’ve called me to do?

If they’re out there somewhere in the dark and cold

help me haul out to find them.

Strengthen your resolve, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“’They do not know how to do right,’ declares the LORD…”
(Amos 3:10)

Whose fault is that, Jesus?

Is it because their leaders haven’t taught them Your ways?

O God!

Give us pastors, deacons, Sunday School teachers
small group leaders, writers, government and business leaders

who diligently teach and apply Your Word
as they faithfully discharge their duties!

But even if they do not

may each of us take personal responsibility
to learn and obey Your loving commands.
