Pray this Lazaroo with heartfelt emotion:

“It gave me great joy…”
(3 John 1:3)

Not everybody can say that, Jesus.

Some people don’t have the capacity for any kind of joy
let alone great joy.

Oh, they know what fun is

they can laugh, have a good time
feel good, experience positive emotions

but joy?

Huh-uh.

Joy – true joy – comes solely from You.

Someone might even believe they’ve been joyful
until You give them a taste of the real thing

and blow their minds.

Pray this Lazaroo in zealous love:

“…that you would all share my joy.”
(2 Corinthians 2:3)

That seldom happens, Jesus.

For one thing, some of my joys are private
known by no one else…or by only a few.

Then, too, the very thing that makes me happy
may make someone else sad…mad…or fearful.

Even my closest friends and family have

different personalities
different perspectives
different life experiences.

But it truly enhances my joy when others share it!

So please – help me share theirs with them.

“These men are not drunk…”
(Acts 2:15)

You could forgive those who thought your followers were drunk, Jesus.

After all, people who belong to You are pretty happy about it!

I don’t need alcohol to make me feel better about my life.

How could it get any better?

You’ve chosen this path for me.

Anything else would be less.

I guess the people around me are just going to have to get used to seeing me thoroughly enjoy You. 😉

I’d love for somebody’s joy in You…

to be my fault, Jesus!

I hope that’s already happened –

but if so, I’d like it to happen again

and again
and again.

In fact, if You want to use me to spread Your joy to everyone I know

I couldn’t be happier about it.

Fun can be had.

Joy, on the other hand, has to be granted

by You.
