Pray this Lazaroo with unswerving dedication:

“If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.”
(1 Corinthians 3:12-13)

You know when I’m following You with my whole heart, Jesus.

But when I stay true to you through the fire –

temptations, trials, disasters, heartbreak –

everybody else can see it, too.

Pray this Lazaroo with utter abandon:

“Give careful thought to the day…”
(Haggai 2:18)

You were reminding Your people to give careful thought

to the day when the foundation of Your temple was laid, Jesus.

But there are a number of days in my life

that deserve careful thought.

Every day I experienced joy, fulfillment, success –

those were gifts from You.

Every day I experienced disappointment, heartache, failure –

those too were gifts from You.

I didn’t thank You then.

But looking back…

I thank You now.

Pray this Lazaroo in awestruck anticipation:

“May you bring the day you have announced…”
(Lamentations 1:21)

You’ve announced the coming of momentous days, Jesus –

You’re All-Powerful!

You not only announce them
but You have the ability to bring them to pass

in Your perfect way and time.

They’ve been a long time coming

but their arrival is sure.

With bated breath we await

Your second coming
the destruction of all Your enemies
the salvation of all your saints –

including the least saintly of all…

me.
