Pray this Lazaroo with unrestrained allegiance:

“Now a man who was lame from birth…asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, ‘Look at us!’ So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.”
(Acts 3:2-5)

He was about to get something all right, Jesus…

but it wasn’t from Peter and John.

It was from You!

He wanted money, but what he needed was to be healed.

That’s what I desire, Father!

Not what I think I want
but what You know I need.

“…Mary…was pledged to be married…and was expecting a child…the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.”
(Luke 2:5-7)

Just like then, Jesus

some of those You love so much
have no room for You in their hearts.

May my heart be so full of love for You

that it makes up the difference!

Pray this Lazaroo in total honesty:

“See, the Lord is coming…”
(Jude 1:14)

Oh, Jesus…

that’s what I want to see!

You’ve told me to be ready.

And I am.
On my good days.

But it’s hard to stay ready for something that’s taking thousands of years.

Part of me reasons that the odds are not great
that I’ll be alive when You return.

But You’ve told me to watch for Your coming.

Okay. I will.

Help me stay believing, hoping, expectant

wide-eyed and focused.
