Pray this Lazaroo with grateful specificity:

“The word of the LORD came to Haggai a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month.”
(Haggai 2:20)

That’s nailing it down pretty tight, Jesus

right to the day.

You appreciate it when I thank You generically

“…for all You’ve done.”

But that’s a prayer that, if I’m not careful

…can be uttered almost without thinking.

How much better when I remember exactly what You did for me

how You did it

and when You did it!

“Before them the earth shakes…”
(Joel 2:10)

Pretty scary, Jesus.

When the sound of my approaching enemies shakes the earth

it makes me want to run –

until I remember:

You Are my Stronghold!

My enemies can shake the earth a little

but You can shake it a lot.

When by faith I stubbornly refuse to tremble before my attackers

You see and approve.

You know I’m overruling my natural instincts
because I believe You Are Greater!

and I’ll prevail.

Pray this Lazaroo in everlasting gratitude:

“…he will be forgiven.”
(Leviticus 4:26)

Are there any sweeter words in any language, Jesus?

Maybe…but not many.

I know my sins.

Not all of them, certainly.
There are too many to keep count.

But some of those I do remember haunt me.

I wish I had never committed them.
In fact, I can’t think of a single sin I don’t regret.

But O Jesus!

I’m stunned!

Because of my faith in You
You’ve forgiven all my sins!

Forever!
