“There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets that Moses had placed in it at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the Israelites after they came out of Egypt.”
(2 Chronicles 5:10)

At one time, Jesus, the gold jar of manna and Aaron’s staff that had budded were inside the ark.

You don’t tell us why or how these precious items disappeared.

If I’m missing something in our relationship that used to be precious

restore it, dear LORD!

I wouldn’t blame You for not entrusting Yourself to me, Jesus.

You know exactly what’s in me.

But You did!

You gave Yourself for me on the cross!

to purify me until inside and out
I think, speak and behave

like one of Your own.

Beg God for a clean heart, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“I know all about Ephraim; Israel is not hidden from me. Ephraim, you have now turned to prostitution; Israel is corrupt. Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God. A spirit of prostitution is in their heart; they do not acknowledge the Lord.”
(Hosea 5:3-4)

The thing is, Jesus

You know exactly what’s going on inside each of us.

When it’s good
You reward us.

When it’s diabolical
You respond accordingly.

Be on your guard! as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Their teaching will spread like gangrene.”
(2 Timothy 2:17)

False teaching is so like gangrene it’s scary, Jesus

bringing spiritual death to all who embrace it.

Gangrene occurs when there is no blood flow to arms, legs, toes and fingers

just as false teachers deny the saving power
of Your blood shed for us on the cross.

Muscles and internal organs can die from spreading infection

in the same way the sins promoted by the false teacher
destroys their followers from the inside.

Pray this Lazaroo with explosive feeling:

“Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”
(2 Kings 4:3-4)

She didn’t have enough oil to fill even one jar, Jesus.

But before You worked the miracle
You required her – in an act of faith –
to collect a houseful of empty jars.

All my empty jars are sitting here, Jesus!
