Pray this Lazaroo with pedal-to-the-metal commitment:

“…you see something dreadful and are afraid. Have I ever said, ‘Give something on my behalf, pay a ransom for me from your wealth, deliver me from the hand of the enemy, rescue me from the clutches of the ruthless’? Teach me, and I will be quiet; show me where I have been wrong.’”
(Job 6:21-24)

Job had no clue that You were proving his greatness to Satan, Jesus.

Help me trust You, LORD!

even when to me
what’s happening makes no sense.

Pray this Lazaroo with white-hot fervor:

“In your teaching show integrity…”
(Titus 2:7)

There are a lot of ways to teach, Jesus

even if I don’t consider myself to be a teacher.

The most powerful is by my example, isn’t it?

May everyone who watches my life be able to see that

I live for You
I live according to Your Word
I long to be a true blessing to others
I do not turn from Your Word to the right or to the left.

Pray this Lazaroo with total transparency:

“…’I will give ten thousand talents of silver to the king’s administrators for the royal treasury.’ So the king took his signet ring from his finger and gave it to Haman…the enemy of the Jews. ‘Keep the money,’ the king said to Haman, ‘and do with the people as you please.’”
(Esther 3:9-11)

When Haman conspired against Your people, Jesus

he made a fatal mistake.

When the king bought in without doing his homework

he made one, too

Guide me, Holy Spirit!

I don’t want to make any fatal mistakes!

Pray this Lazaroo all the way to the marrow of your bones:

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed…”
(2 Timothy 2:15)

I’m so glad my work matters to You, Jesus!

But nothing I do is my work alone.
I’m leaning on You every step of the way.

I don’t want my work to be merely good.
I want it to be great.

There’s only one way that can happen:

When in passionate humility
I collaborate with You!

Pray this Lazaroo with laser-focused intensity:

“Above the Horse Gate, the priests made repairs, each in front of his own house. Next to them, Zadok son of Immer made repairs opposite his house.”
(Nehemiah 3:28-29)

It’s great to help others, Jesus

but You expect me to take care of my own business too.

True, I’m to put others ahead of myself.

But if I neglect my own responsibilities

I cease being a blessing
and become a burden.

It’s kind of tricky, isn’t it?

Please help me navigate it properly!

Pray this Lazaroo with no-holds-barred surrender:

“Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.”
(1 Timothy 2:14)

Eve’s sin was bad, Jesus

but Adam’s was worse.

Adam wasn’t deceived. He knew better and ate the forbidden fruit anyway.

His wife handed him the fruit
so he accepted it and ate it.

Pleasing his wife was more important to him than pleasing You

making her humankind’s first idol.

May I never put anyone or anything ahead of You!

Pray this Lazaroo on high alert:

“…the people…have gone to Jerusalem and are rebuilding that rebellious and wicked city. They are restoring the walls and repairing the foundations. Furthermore, the king should know that if this city is built and its walls are restored, no more taxes, tribute or duty will be paid, and eventually the royal revenues will suffer.”
(Ezra 4:12-13)

I wish I could always tell when somebody’s lying, Jesus

‘cause that’s what these guys were doing.

Please draw me close

so I can hear Your whisper of warning.

Pray this Lazaroo in mounting excitement:

“…our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement…”
(2 Thessalonians 2:16)

Oh, Jesus.

Thank You for eternal encouragement!

I’ve never known anything else like it.

All other encouragement on this earth is short-lived.

Hopeful today…discouraged tomorrow.
Happy today…sad tomorrow.
Feeling good today…feeling bad tomorrow.

But Yours is the encouragement that never wanes.

In fact, as I draw closer to the day I draw my last breath

it keeps getting stronger.

Pray this Lazaroo with keen anticipation:

“He made ten gold lampstands according to the specifications for them and placed them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. He made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. He also made a hundred gold sprinkling bowls.”
(2 Chronicles 4:7-8)

The most important words in that entire passage, Jesus:

“…according to the specifications…”

That matters to You, doesn’t it?

…and not just when it comes to lampstands and sprinkling bowls.

Pray this Lazaroo with every fiber of your being:

“…Satan blocked our way.”
(1 Thessalonians 2:18)

That’s not supposed to happen, Jesus –

not to Your people
especially not to the likes of the Apostle Paul.

What’s going on, here?

You’re infinitely more powerful than Satan!
How in the world could he ever –

Oh. Right.

Satan can never block my way
unless You let him

because You didn’t want me to go there to begin with!

So when I can’t get where I want to go, I don’t need to worry.

You’ve got a better plan.
