Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! You have begun to reign—and that without us!”

My stupid, blind, unreasoning pride, Jesus!

Where does it come from?

Certainly not from You.

I do believe

it has the sulfurous smell from the fiery pits of hell
all over it.

Pray this Lazaroo with eyes wide open:

“‘Stand in the doorway of the tent,’ he told her. ‘If someone comes by and asks you, “Is anyone in there?” say “No.”’” But Jael, Heber’s wife, picked up a tent peg and a hammer and went quietly to him while he lay fast asleep, exhausted. She drove the peg through his temple into the ground, and he died.”
(Judges 4:20-21)

Jael did this for You, Jesus.

But the principle is clear:

If I don’t know for a fact someone is trustworthy
never let down my guard.
