Get ready! as you pray this Lazaroo:

“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.”
(Colossians 1:28-29)

That’s what I need more than anything, Jesus –

Your powerful energy!

My problem isn’t ignorance.

I have a pretty good idea of what You want me to do.

But enough time’s been wasted.
Now I’ve got to do it.

Pray this Lazaroo with God-given confidence:

“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.”
(Colossians 1:28)

Everyone? Fully mature in You, Jesus?

Now, that would be an all-time miracle!
Especially for the likes of me.

But that’s exactly the miracle for which I pray –

not only for all my brothers and sisters in You
but also for me –

the least deserving
lowliest follower
of them all.

And yet…

I believe!

Pray this Lazaroo in determined passion:

“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom…”
(Colossians 1:28)

It’s important to declare Your Name to our family, friends, city, nation and world, Jesus!

But having done so, it’s essential to admonish them
warning of the consequences if they reject You.

It’s vital that we teach them all about You
so they’ll learn to love and obey You as we do.

But the only way they’ll accept what we say

is when we speak with Your holy wisdom!

Pray this Lazaroo with earnest desire:

“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever…He gives wisdom to the wise.”
(Daniel 2:20-21)

We so easily forget, don’t we, Jesus?

All wisdom comes from You.

True…everything else comes from You, too – which we also forget.

But without wisdom, who can succeed?
Who can truly – and lastingly – enjoy life?

When I act with wisdom, please help me acknowledge its Source

and in light of how many times I’ve missed the boat

give me more.
