Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken. All the nations may walk in the name of their gods, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.”
(Micah 4:4-5)

Hasten the day, Jesus!

I believe You.
I know in my heart this day will come.

So I’ll do my part to bring it about:

I will walk in Your Name, LORD God
for ever and ever!

Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.”
(Revelation 3:12)

I thought I already had all the incentive I need, Jesus.

But this makes me want to strive like never before

to win each spiritual battle in my life!

Pray this Lazaroo with thanksgiving:

“I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.”
(Ephesians 3:14-15)

It all comes from You, Jesus!

No matter what we call ourselves

we will always be Your creation.

No matter how much we accomplish

it will always be with Your strength.

No matter how many good days we enjoy on this earth

You are the Giver of every one.

May I always remember…

and may my heart continually be filled with gratitude.

Pray this Lazaroo in steadfast faith:

“…if that person has no close relative to whom restitution can be made for the wrong, the restitution belongs to the Lord and must be given to the priest, along with the ram with which atonement is made for the wrongdoer.”
(Numbers 5:8)

Bottom line?

It all belongs to You, Jesus!

You created everything I have.

You loan it to me to use and enjoy.

But no matter whose name is on it

it all goes back to You.

Pray this Lazaroo in total repentance:

“Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. As it is written: ‘There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.’”
(Romans 3:9-12)

This breaks my heart, Jesus!

I know it breaks Yours.

Somehow, someway…

through the infilling power of Your Holy Spirit
may this no longer be true of me.

Pray this Lazaroo humbled with gratitude:

“…as soon as all of them had crossed, the ark of the Lord and the priests came to the other side while the people watched. That day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they stood in awe of him all the days of his life, just as they had stood in awe of Moses.”
(Joshua 4:11, 14)

When You give me a job, Jesus

You grant me the power – and when necessary –

the respect from others
required to achieve it.

Pray this Lazaroo in no-matter-what trust:

“…the livestock and the plunder from the towns we had captured we carried off for ourselves. From Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge, and from the town in the gorge, even as far as Gilead, not one town was too strong for us. The Lord our God gave us all of them.”
(Deuteronomy 2:35-36)

Thank You for giving us seasons like Jesus!

Please help us remember them

when You lead us through the dark valleys of loss.

Pray this Lazaroo with fair warning:

“Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. Now the overseer…must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap.”
(1 Timothy 3:1-2, 7)

Evil people love to tear down Your leaders, Jesus.

It’s not hard to do.
Try though they might, leaders are imperfect people.

Guard the reputation of the sincere shepherds of Your flock!

May all their faults be minor
and their devotion to You shine for all to see.

Pray this Lazaroo in totally trusting love:

“When Sihon and all his army came out to meet us in battle at Jahaz, the LORD our God delivered him over to us and we struck him down, together with his sons and his whole army. We completely destroyed them – men, women and children. We left no survivors.”
(Deuteronomy 2:32-34)

Our modern sensibilities can’t fathom this, Jesus –

the ruthless extermination of a whole nation of people.

But You – the God of love, forgiveness and mercy – ordered it!

So like it or not
that means it had to be done.

Pray this Lazaroo with burning zeal:

“Jesus declared, ‘I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.’ ‘How can a man be born when he is old?’ Nicodemus asked. ‘Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!’”
(John 3:3-4)

The New Life You grant to all who put their faith in You, Jesus

is a fresh, brand-new start
even more profound

than the miracle
of a baby’s first breath
on this earth.
