Pray this Lazaroo with thanksgiving:

“I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.”
(Ephesians 3:14-15)

It all comes from You, Jesus!

No matter what we call ourselves

we will always be Your creation.

No matter how much we accomplish

it will always be with Your strength.

No matter how many good days we enjoy on this earth

You are the Giver of every one.

May I always remember…

and may my heart continually be filled with gratitude.

Pray this Lazaroo with deep reverence:

“Joshua…said to them, ‘Go over before the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you.’”
(Joshua 4:4-6)

You had just worked an amazing miracle, Jesus.

They set those stones in the middle of the Jordan
to make certain they would always remember what You did.

What stones do I need to set – and where?

Pray this Lazaroo with a fervent spirit:

“They declared a fast…”
(Jonah 3:5)

These days, Jesus

people seldom declare a fast
unless their serious.

We go without food only when we want something really badly

or when we’ve had the living tar scared out of us.

That was pretty much what happened to the Ninevites

after Jonah showed up and warned them
that You were going to destroy their city in 40 days.

May I always remember:

Because they got serious and got serious fast

You relented.

Pray this Lazaroo in gratitude and renewed commitment:

“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
(Ephesians 2:13)

I was far away, Jesus –

far, far, far away!

Thank You for bringing me near!

I never want to be apart from You, ever again!

May I always remember that many others who are far away

would love to be brought near
if only they knew they could be!

That’s my assignment, isn’t it?

To make sure they know.

Pray this Lazaroo with white-hot fervor:

“…in the presence of the king.”
(Esther 2:23)

King Xerxes reigned over 127 provinces in the citadel of Susa, Jesus.

Mordecai the Jew had foiled a plot to assassinate the king.

His action was being recorded in the book of the annals
while the king looked on.

Nobody has to record for You what I’ve done, Father.

You know everything I think
hear every word I say.

May I always remember:

Everything I do is in Your Presence!

Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“…remember that at that time you were…foreigners to the covenants of the promise…”
(Ephesians 2:12)

I love the way You put this, Jesus

because through it, You’re teaching me so much!

“…at that time” means:

It’s no longer the case!

I’m no longer a foreigner to Your covenants of the promise!

“remember” means:

It’s vital that I always remember
where I’ve come from
and how far You’ve brought me.

I – once an undeserving outsider –

am now part of Your Forever Family.

Pray this Lazaroo in overwhelmed gratitude:

“…the water jars the men have filled.”
(Ruth 2:9)

May I never forget, Jesus

that though others may fill my “water jars”

You’re the One who created the water
You’re the One Who created the people
You’re the One Who prompted them to do it

for me.

You Are my Source!

You Are the Giver of every good gift!
If it’s good…it’s from You.

Thank You for showing love to me through Your entire creation

to refresh my spirit.

Pray this Lazaroo in zealous love:

“Therefore, remember…”
(Ephesians 2:11)

Every day of my life You’re teaching me, Holy Spirit.

Every day of my life You’re guiding me, Father –

through the things that make life sweet
through the challenges that make life hard
through the daily grind that makes up most of life.

I don’t want You to have to repeat Yourself over and over again.

I want to squeeze every ounce of lesson
You pack into every moment of my life, Jesus

and never forget.
