They’d been waiting 1,400 years for You to appear!

How many generations of Godly Jews had come and gone without getting so much as a glimpse of You?

Phillip, Andrew and Peter were going through this day –

like any other day –

when suddenly, it happened!

there You were!

Miracles of miracles…

I’ve found You, too!

Well, actually –

You’ve revealed Yourself to me.

The Jewish people living there witnessed Your amazing miracles, Jesus

but many refused to believe –
even though three of Your disciples were from there!

You told them if the pagans living in Tyre and Sidon had seen those same miracles

they would have repented and believed.

You don’t need to do anything more than You already have, Father

for me – with all my heart – to believe.

What an example, Jesus.

Andrew finds You…but doesn’t keep it to himself.

I’ve found You, too.

But the excitement of first discovery
too often gives way to taking it for granted.

I’m so used to the 1on1 relationship with You I enjoy each day

that I may not be telling as many people about You
as desperately need to hear.

Open my eyes!

Pray this Lazaroo in steadfast faith:

“Turning around, Jesus saw them…”
(John 1:38)

What must that have been like, Jesus –

the first time these two men locked eyes with You?

It was a life-changer for Andrew

but what about the other man?
Why didn’t John give us his name?

Did he continue to follow You, faithfully serving in a behind-the-scenes role?

Or did he fail to see what Andrew did
and go back to his ordinary life?

Not me, Jesus.

I refuse to go back.
