Pray this Lazaroo in won’t back down confidence:

“Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day…”
(Habakkuk 3:2)

I am so tired of people saying it doesn’t do any good to pray, Jesus!

Many believe You no longer perform miracles.

But You’re the same  –

yesterday, today and forever!

There’s nothing You can’t do!

Every miracle You’ve performed in the past
You’re fully able to do today.

So along with Habakkuk I beg You:

Do it again!

Pray this Lazaroo with utter abandon:

LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD.”
(Habakkuk 3:2)

You can do anything, Jesus.

Already, You’ve pretty much done everything.

Creating the heavens and earth was amazing.
So were Your virgin birth, healing the blind
walking on water, raising the dead
rising from Your tomb on the third day.

By comparison, my requests seem puny

but they’re a big deal to me.

I know You can.

With bated breath, I’m waiting and hoping

that You Will.

Pray this Lazaroo humbled with gratitude:

“…as soon as all of them had crossed, the ark of the Lord and the priests came to the other side while the people watched. That day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they stood in awe of him all the days of his life, just as they had stood in awe of Moses.”
(Joshua 4:11, 14)

When You give me a job, Jesus

You grant me the power – and when necessary –

the respect from others
required to achieve it.

Pray this Lazaroo in total trust:

“Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.”
(Acts 2:43-45)

Were these the greatest days of Your Church, Jesus?

Was this the purest expression of what You had in mind
when You laid down Your life for us?

You’re the Same – yesterday, today and forever.

Great God:

Do it again!

Pray this Lazaroo with sold-out surrender:

“He asked for a writing tablet, and to everyone’s astonishment he wrote, ‘His name is John.’ Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue set free, and he began to speak, praising God. All the neighbors were filled with awe, and throughout the hill country of Judea people were talking about all these things.”
(Luke 1:63-65)

When Zechariah didn’t believe You, Jesus

You struck him “dumb – meaning unable to talk.

When anyone else doesn’t believe You

that’s evidence of the other kind of “dumb.”

Pray this Lazaroo filled with wonder:

“While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer.”
(Daniel 2:34-35)

Through Daniel, You were telling the king what he had dreamed, Jesus!

Only You. Only You. Only You.

O God.
I’m in awe!

Pray this Lazaroo with shaking-in-our-boots awe:

“Be still before the Lord, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.”
(Zechariah 2:13)

Sometimes for days and weeks, Jesus

at other times for months and years –

not understanding Your perfect timing –

we wonder:

“Why don’t You rise up in power and act?
Why don’t You do something about this?”

And then, all at once, with stunning, sudden finality

You rain down Your retribution on those who defied You!

and I shut my mouth in trembling awe.

Pray this Lazaroo in continuing awe:

“All the royal officials at the king’s gate knelt down and paid honor to Haman, for the king had commanded this concerning him. But Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor.”
(Esther 3:2)

You don’t tell us why Mordecai wouldn’t bow down to Haman, Jesus.

Maybe it was because He refused to bow down to anyone but You.
Maybe it was because He sensed Haman was an evil man.

Regardless, You used it!

…as You do absolutely everything that happens.

Pray this Lazaroo with white-hot fervor:

“This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: ‘A voice of one calling in the desert…’”
(Matthew 3:3)

More than 700 years before John the Baptist spoke those words, Jesus

You revealed to Your prophet Isaiah that he would speak them!

Who besides You can do that?

No one.

You know what each of us is going to think, say and do

before we have a clue.

No wonder we worship You in reverent awe!

Sell out totally to God as you pray this Lazaroo:

“I heard behind me a loud rumbling sound…”
(Ezekiel 3:12)

That would get my attention, Jesus!

For good reason.

It wasn’t a wagon, a rock or a herd of animals.
It was the sound of the wings of supernatural beings!

Shivers. Terror. Awe. Goose bumps.

I’ve never heard that sound Ezekiel heard

but You led him to share it with me so I could imagine it.

But not only imagine it.
Anticipate it!

…when I join him in heaven.
