Pray this Lazaroo with total transparency:

“…that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus…”
(2 Timothy 2:10)

It’s not only about me, is it, Jesus?

Straight up? I confess:

I sometimes forget that.

Although I say differently – believe differently! –

my thoughts, words and actions reveal the stark truth:

I’ve got a lot of work to do
to become the person You’ve created me to be.

Okay. Them’s the facts.

Now…back to work.

Pray this Lazaroo with no-holds-barred surrender:

“They laid its beams…”
(Nehemiah 3:6)

There they were, Jesus…

repairing the Jeshanah Gate of Jerusalem.

When they laid those beams, they weren’t done.

There was a lot of work left to do.

Just as they were, I’m presented with a choice:

I can focus on the size of the huge task ahead of me
and become discouraged

Or I can be filled with thanksgiving for what You’ve accomplished through me

and be invigorated to get back to work.
