I have an earthly dad, Jesus.

Above all, there’s my Heavenly Father.

But because I have the faith of Abraham

he has become my spiritual father!

Just like John the Baptist, Jesus

I want to grow in You!
I want to become strong in spirit!

In short, I want to become everything You’ve created me to be!

It’s great to help others, Jesus

but You expect me to take care of my own business too.

True, I’m to put others ahead of myself.

But if I neglect my own responsibilities

I cease being a blessing
and become a burden.

It’s kind of tricky, isn’t it?
