Pray this Lazaroo with bottomless trust:

“They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for. But you are a chosen people…”
(1 Peter 2:8-9)

I hardly know what to do with this, Jesus.

To think that some people are destined to reject You
seems so unfair.

But to think that You chose and destined me to accept You?
That’s awesome!

Bottom line?

I trust You!
Your ways are far superior to mine.

And I am beyond grateful

to be included in Your wholly undeserved, unfathomable love!

Pray this Lazaroo in heart-bursting love:

“The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient.”
(2 Corinthians 2:6)

I love that about You, Jesus!

Yes – unlike some suppose – You punish.

But You know exactly when to stop punishing the sinner

to give them a chance to catch their breath

repent

and start over with renewed hope.

Of course, there’s another crowd.

They’re always disappointed
when You don’t smash the sinner into oblivion.

But as the repentant sinner You haven’t hopelessly smashed

I’m beyond grateful.
