Pray this Lazaroo in transparent desperation:

”…the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh…”
(2 Peter 2:9-10)

My flesh has some corrupt desires, Jesus –

to which I’ve given in
far too often.

But that’s not who I want to be!

In Your power, Holy Spirit
that’s not who I will be!

Rescue me from these trials and temptations, Father!

You’re my only Hope.

“What strength do I have, that I should still hope? What prospects, that I should be patient? Do I have the strength of stone? Is my flesh bronze? Do I have any power to help myself, now that success has been driven from me?”
(Job 6:11-13)
