Pray this Lazaroo with unswerving dedication:

“If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.”

You know when I’m following You with my whole heart, Jesus.

Pray this Lazaroo with deep concern:

“Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed…”
(Habakkuk 2:12)

Most of us haven’t built any cities with bloodshed, Jesus.

But what’s the principle here?

You’re telling us how much You hate it

when we tear others down
to build ourselves up

when we’re so focused on our own success
that we give no thought to its impact on others.

Am I doing that anywhere in my life, Jesus?

If so, show me!

Aim higher, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“He rebuilt it, roofing it over…”
(Nehemiah 3:15)

Nobody else added a roof to the gate he was repairing, Jesus.

Only Shallun.

From this we can infer that it wasn’t something that had to be done.

Shallun thought it would be a good idea.

So he took the extra time
did the extra work
incurred the extra expense

to make the Fountain Gate unique, beautiful, desirable.

What an inspiration, Father!
