“Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed and establishes a town by injustice! Has not the Lord Almighty determined that the people’s labor is only fuel for the fire, that the nations exhaust themselves for nothing?”
(Habakkuk 2:12-13)

When the purpose is evil, Jesus

it never stands.

Doesn’t matter how hard they work.
Doesn’t matter how smart they are.
Doesn’t matter how much money they spend.

Purify all my purposes, LORD!

If I’m going to exhaust myself
I want it to count for eternity!

Pray this Lazaroo with deep concern:

“Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed…”
(Habakkuk 2:12)

Most of us haven’t built any cities with bloodshed, Jesus.

But what’s the principle here?

You’re telling us how much You hate it

when we tear others down
to build ourselves up

when we’re so focused on our own success
that we give no thought to its impact on others.

Am I doing that anywhere in my life, Jesus?

If so, show me!
