Pray this Lazaroo with rejoicing:

“…servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire…They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them.”
(Daniel 3:26-27)

It doesn’t get any more amazing than that, Jesus!

You rewarded these men for their refusal to bow to an idol
by performing one of the great miracles of all time.

But others, whom You love just as much,

were burned to death for their faith.

Only in heaven will I understand.
Until then, You have my complete trust.

Pray this Lazaroo with bottomless trust:

“This is the offering Aaron and his sons are to bring to the Lord on the day he is anointed…The son who is to succeed him as anointed priest shall prepare it. It is the Lord’s perpetual share and is to be burned completely. Every grain offering of a priest shall be burned completely; it must not be eaten.”
(Leviticus 6:20, 22-23)

You want those who come after us to learn early on, Jesus:

A specific portion of the work we do isn’t meant to fill our bellies.

It’s to be offered in love to You.

Pray this Lazaroo with explosive feeling:

“…a temple had not yet been built for the Name of the Lord. Solomon showed his love for the Lord by walking according to the instructions given him by his father David, except that he offered sacrifices and burned incense on the high places.”
(1 Kings 3:2-3)

Solomon had an excuse for doing wrong, Jesus.

There was no temple.

But he didn’t have to go to one of those high places You so detested!

Satan will always provide me with an excuse to do wrong.

But to do wrong
there is no acceptable excuse.

May the Hope of God rise within you, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“‘What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble—burned as they are?’…’What they are building—even a fox climbing up on it would break down their wall of stones!’”
(Nehemiah 4:2-3)

Maybe those Jews were feeble, Jesus.

Maybe they couldn’t restore the broken down wall of Jerusalem
in a single day.

But how about in 52 days!!!

They stunned the world

because you were with them.

Be encouraged! as you pray this Lazaroo:

“If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.”
(1 Corinthians 3:14-15)

You are stunningly good to Your chosen people, Jesus!

Even if we blow it again and again
making bad choice after bad choice after bad choice

if with all our hearts we claim You

You claim us.

Pray this Lazaroo with wholehearted adoration:

“‘Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.’ But Moses said, ‘Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.’ Then the Lord’s anger burned against Moses…”
(Exodus 4:12-14)

Moses didn’t want to go where You told him to go

nor do what You told him to do, Jesus.

Sometimes, neither do I –

when it looks extremely hard

even impossible.

But Moses ended up doing it, didn’t he?

No matter what, that’s what I have to do.

Every time.
