O Father!

No one has ever seen you or can see You.

No wonder You came to earth through the virgin birth

in the Person of Your Son

to help us draw closer to You!

But that’s how You wanted to come to earth:

the same way every one of us does.

Well…almost.

You wanted to feel what we feel, experience what we experience

so that when we cry out to You about how hard it is

“I know.”

we fall on our faces in gratitude
because we don’t have to save ourselves.
