What a perfect picture of futility You’ve given me, Jesus.

Show me everywhere in my life I’m doing this.

Help me stop!

Did I say, “my” life?

God help me.

It’s not mine.
It’s Yours.

Forgetting that is what sets me off
on another wind-chasing waste of time.

Chasing after the wind is NOT going after something too big.

In Your power, there’s no such thing.

It’s failing to check with You first.

Take heed, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Remember Jesus Christ…”
(2 Timothy 2:8)

Seems like an unnecessary reminder, Jesus.

Who could forget You?

But on second thought…

I do.

Oh, not in the sense that I don’t remember who You are.

But in my head-long rush to do what I want to do
how often do I forget to first check in –
to see what You want me to do?

Of course, that oversight results in me begging you afterwards

to fix what I messed up.
