Pray this Lazaroo with sacrificial love:

“The watchmen found me as they made their rounds in the city. They beat me, they bruised me; they took away my cloak, those watchmen of the walls! Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you—if you find my beloved, what will you tell him? Tell him I am faint with love.”
(Song of Songs 5:7-8)

Would I do that for You, Jesus –

endure beating, bruising, abuse because of my love for You?

I’d better!

because that’s what You did because of Your love for me.

Pray this Lazaroo with explosive feeling:

“Elisha said to Gehazi, ‘Tuck your cloak into your belt, take my staff in your hand and run. Don’t greet anyone you meet, and if anyone greets you, do not answer. Lay my staff on the boy’s face.’ But the child’s mother said, ‘As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.’ So he got up and followed her.”
(2 Kings 4:29-30)

This Shunammite woman knew who had it, Jesus…

and who didn’t.

Help me know the same.

Pray this Lazaroo with pedal-to-the-metal commitment:

“Then the Lord said, ‘Put your hand inside your cloak.’ So Moses put his hand into his cloak, and when he took it out, the skin was leprous—it had become as white as snow. ‘Now put it back into your cloak,’ he said. So Moses put his hand back into his cloak, and when he took it out, it was restored, like the rest of his flesh.”
(Exodus 4:6-7)

This was no parlor trick, Jesus.

This was the real deal –

like everything You do.

Pray this Lazaroo with burning zeal:

“A man will seize one of his brothers in his father’s house, and say, ‘You have a cloak, you be our leader; take charge of this heap of ruins!’ But in that day he will cry out, ‘I have no remedy. I have no food or clothing in my house; do not make me the leader of the people.’”
(Isaiah 3:6-7)

I know what it is to have no remedy, Jesus.

From the bottom of my heart, from the marrow of my bones:

Intervene, LORD!

I beg You!
