It’s true, Jesus.

I can make great plans
but only You can make them come true.

I can say something unwise or unkind
and burn down a wonderful relationship.

I surrender my tongue to You!

Teach me what to say.
Teach me how to say it.

And teach me when to say nothing.

Pray this Lazaroo with sold-out surrender:

“Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.”
(Proverbs 4:10-12)

These were Your words through King David to his son, the future King Solomon.

But they’re also Your words to me, Jesus.

You call me to walk in the way of wisdom

to make these promises come true in my life.
